Tips to Telepathically Commune with Nature

A number of you have emailed to ask me questions about how to increase your receptivity to nature and tree communication. Here's a little Blog post to share a few tips.
We already all do receive nature intelligence. It is our birthright as human beings; we are part of nature. We are never not connected. What has happened in our modern world is that we often lose consciousness of that connection. But our bodies never do. They constantly receive trillions of bits of information.
Much of nature communication will come in through our bodies. When we are outside in a natural setting, we may perceive this as a sense of peace, relaxation, appreciation of the beauty, or increased presence.
That slowing down and calmness is a big step in opening to telepathic communication. Our minds tend to be so busy with thoughts. We often project ourselves into the future, thinking of what we want to accomplish, create, or avoid. Or we dwell on past events.
Tip number one is to go outside (or if that isn't possible, sit beside a houseplant or with a pet) and become open, spacious and present. There are many techniques to do this from breathing practices, focusing on a crystal, yoga, meditation, or chanting mantras.
Tip number two is to expand into the moment. Some people will actually feel their energetic field widening and filling more space. It is a matter of softening and opening. Instead of projecting thoughts, desires, or intentions out, this is a more feminine, yin and receptive state. Become the flower with open petals peacefully awaiting the bee.
Tip number three is from this receptive state of open attention, drop any preconceived notions of what will happen. Once in a state of gentle awareness, ask for the tree, plant, whale, frog, or kitty to communicate with you telepathically. And then relax even more deeply. Allow nothing to happen. Definitely don't TRY! Trying is such a striving, active, directed state of being, which is the opposite of the soft opening I'm talking about.
Tip number four, keep breathing and settling more deeply. Perhaps place a hand on your heart. I've found telepathic communication often comes through my heart first. If you are sitting with a tree, find out whether you feel more connected with your back or front close to the trunk. For me, I usually sit with my back to the tree because I've discovered I can feel tendrils of energetic bliss rooting into my heart.
Tip number five is to pay attention to impressions, physical sensations, the senses including smells, ideas, visions, random thoughts floating through, dreams, and inner knowing. Telepathic communication from nature comes in myriad ways. Once you've asked and opened, you will receive. It could still be unconsciously, in your field, but trust the magic is happening.
Your experiences will be unique and tailored to your own system and current state of being. Every time will be different. It's a bit like making love. When we are intimate with another person, there are many contributing factors: our own state of being, how the other person is doing, cosmic alignments and the energy of the day. To connect we need to tune into our partner, listen, and respond in a way that builds harmony. It is similar with nature. We want to tune into ourselves, the nature being we are contacting, and ground into the specific moment in time and space.
Once tuned in, communion happens. It may be subtle, like an inner knowing of your next right action, or what nature is asking you to do, or as exalted as an orgasmic moment of unity consciousness. Trust that whatever comes for you is perfect for now. Like any relationship, it will build and grow the more focus and attention you give to your telepathic nature buddy. I have trees I have visited regularly for 32 years and there is definitely a stronger sense of relationship than the first time I sat with them. The main thing is to let go of our humancentric conditioning and allow nature to be our guide. Nature is vastly intelligent and comprehends the intricately woven whole in ways we are only beginning to remember, perceive, and grow into. May your own wild ways awaken to the co-creative joy of being alive in nature!
