Star Tree

Kissing a tree

Our journeys are not inseparable, as we often like to think. They are entwined with our fellow companions along the way, our growth measured with theirs. Our hearts pulse with the beat of other hearts, with the cadence of the earth, and the delicate rhythms of the subtle realms.

Like the redwoods sing to the sky
a palpable hum
Roots entwined in mutual support
growing tall and so big around!
It's hard to grasp that such shallow roots
lead to this --
a way to hold each other up

**************

May, we in this nation of many immigrants, learn from the native people with their deeper roots, and may we come together and find ways to hold each other up.

Ellen Davidson Follow up InnerView

Treesister Water Carrier, Author, Grove Tender www.ellendeedavidson.com This is the first Creative InnerView follow-up that I have done. I chose to follow-up with Ellen to share the recent inspiration of growth, break through, and inner strength she has stepped into, because it is available for each of you to. Ellen Dee Davidson is an author living in the redwoods of Humboldt County California with her husband Steve, and dog, Badger. Ellen finds deep peace hiking and meditating in the forest, she has written a book, Wild Path to the Sacred Heart, to share how the ancient trees can guide us in restoring ourselves and our world. She is also the author of children's picture books and a young adult fantasy. Other books STOLEN VOICES PRINCESS JUSTINA ALBERTINA Zoe, The Misfit Enchanted by the lush green beauty and deep hush found in the redwood forest, Ellen Dee Davidson has spent the last nine years meditating beneath a few ancient trees. To her surprise, she discovered that the trees have different personalities and communicate with her in sensation, image, and wordless knowing. Sometimes she swears she can hear their creaky voices whispering in her mind! Sitting with the old growth trees has increased her inner peace and well-being. Ellen has experienced the healing and enlightening power of trees, which are proven by science to lower cortisol, elevate mood and boost immune systems. Ellen helps support people preserving and restoring forests. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz, Ellen worked as an elementary, creative writing and piano teacher and raised two daughters, Jessica and Michelle. She has four published books and several magazine articles, including one about saving ancient trees. Please enjoy and share this Creative InnerView as an invitation to "Calling All Women" to reforest the planet at https://www.Treesisters.org. Humanity Rising Day 197

The Peace Lab Week The Peace LAB was born out of hundreds of hours of intense dialogue following the past 190+ days of Humanity Rising. The challenges facing humanity are clear. The solutions are many. The question that inspires us is: “how are we rising”? For us, it is through Peace. Thousands of articles, hundreds of organizations, and millions of people are dedicated to bringing peace into our lives and the places in which we live. If we, as humanity, know so much about Peace, then why does systemic racism, brutal economic disparity, epidemic houselessness, escalating climate crises, (do we need to go on) continue to define our reality?  Each of these, and multiple others, open up the jagged chasms that divide us. Are we, as humanity, misguided in our notion of Peace? Is what we’re experiencing a direct result of the manner in which we define and embody Peace? In desiring a different reality, do we need a different approach? What would that look like? The Peace LAB is an experiment created to pursue these questions. We do not believe that doing more of one thing and less of another is the answer. We sense a new formula is emerging. We are finding it in the intersections of communities, disciplines, systems and worldviews. The emerging Peace narrative for 2021 is found in the alchemy of thought-provoking questions and intentional dialogue with key practitioners, artists, and activists playing in these intersections: March 1: The Intersection of Race, Culture and Activism; March 2: The Intersection of Trauma, Compassion and Value Economics; March 3: The Intersection of Beliefs, the Arts and Transformation; March 4: The Intersection of Spirituality, Reality and Intention; March 5: The Intersection of Action, Agency and Impact. Peace Week accompaniment includes several interactive platforms including our moderated After HR Chat; 7Vortex (an ecosystem platform), Sqale (a give-it-forward economic platform), the 21 Step Peace Challenge and the Peace Survey. The Peace LAB is an ongoing experiment. We look forward to more conversations on a variety of platforms as we explore the many intersections of peace.
