Tuning into Trees
Walk in the forest. Feel the wind caress your cheeks. See the light slanting through branches. Smell the fresh, oxygenated air. Hear the shhsh shhsh of fronds rustling in the breeze. Allow your attention to drop out of your head and into your senses. From your own sensual nature, listen to the tree as one wild being to another. Sense her slowness and peace as she enfolds you in a warm embrace. Give yourself permission to let go and imagine the whispers of her voice in your mind. What does she say? What sensations do you notice in your body? What emotions do you feel? Are you inspired with new ideas and visions? Breathe in the essence of your new tree friend. Perhaps you will return to the forest again and again to tune more deeply into trees.
